Bio Area Display Type

This particular option can be found by logging into your site's admin area and going to:
"ProPhoto" > "Customize" > "Bio" > "General"

There are two display options for your bio area, which displays underneath the header and above the post/page content.  It can be “shown normally” as a widget area that automatically appears.  Or it can be “minimized” (hidden) by default, requiring a menu item click to slide open and shut.

Shown normally

A bio area set to be “shown normally” will display below your site header on the page types of your choice.  Checking the “shown normally” button opens up your page display options. First, choose the page types where you want your bio are to display.  Next, for the page types that you left unchecked, choose whether you want the bio area hidden entirely, or, minimized. Minimized means that the bio area is hidden and will be displayed when the corresponding menu link is clicked.  Continue reading for instructions on how to create this type of link.

ProPhoto provides the ability for visitors to show and hide your bio area. When you select the “minimized” display type, the Prophoto 3 theme automatically adds an ‘about me’ link to your menu area. When this link is clicked, your bio area will slide open immediately under your header area, and then slide back closed when clicked again. If minimized, you can change the text of your ‘about me’ link in this area as well.
