Lightbox galleries add title and image number text under each image.  Use these ProPhoto options to adjust the appearance of this text.

By default, WordPress uses each image filename in the “Title” field of any image you upload.  Since most people don’t want their image filename displayed, by default the “Title” field will NOT be displayed in a Lightbox Gallery.

However, if you want a Title/Description to be displayed for your images in a Lightbox Gallery, all you need to do is replace your image file name in that images “Title” field with a custom title. Your custom Title will be shown below your image.

NOTE: You also have the option to force ProPhoto to show image filenames (without changing them manually) when you install and configure our free Tweaks Plugin.
