Slideshow Options

This particular option can be found by logging into your site's admin area and going to:
"ProPhoto" > "Customize" > "Galleries" > "Slideshow Galleries"

Every Slideshow Gallery has built in slideshow functionality. This area lets you customize some of the features of your slideshow.

  1. Unless set up to autostart in the individual gallery settings area, A visitor must click on a gallery in order to activate it. Selecting the first option here will cause the slideshow to immediately begin playing when the visitor clicks on the gallery. Selecting the second option means that when the gallery is clicked, it will display the first gallery image with overlay text until the visitor takes an action (clicks the play button, or clicks on a slideshow).
  2. Control whether the slideshow should loop when complete, repeating the slideshow until the visitor pauses, or should stop on the last image.
  3. When the slideshow is playing, images will transition from one to the next according to one of these effects.

    -Fade-in, fade-out – Will fade each image to the background color and then back to the next image.
    -Cross-fade – A classic effect that fades each image directly into the next one.
    -Slide horizontally – Current image slides out of the gallery from right to left as the next image slides in to replace it.
    -Slide vertically – Current image slides out of the gallery from top to bottom as the next image slides in to replace it.

  4. An optional timer progress bar can be displayed along the upper edge of the gallery that gives a visual representation of the time left until the next image transition.
  5. The time that each image is displayed, not including the transition time set in #6. This is the time that is displayed by the optional timer in #4.
  6. The duration of the transition effect from one image to the next.

Every flash gallery has built in slideshow functionality. This area lets you customize some of the features of your slideshow.

1. A visitor must click on a gallery in order to activate it. Selecting the first option here will cause the slideshow to immediately begin playing when the visitor clicks on the gallery. Selecting the second option means that when the gallery is clicked, it will display the first gallery image until the visitor takes an action (clicks the play button, or clicks on a slideshow).

2. When the slideshow is playing, images will transition from one to the next according to one of these effects.

  • Fade-in, fade-out – Will fade each image to the background color and then back to the next image.
  • Cross-fade – A classic effect that fades each image directly into the next one.
  • Slide horizontally – Current image slides out of the gallery from right to left at the next image slides in to replace it.
  • No transition effect – Each image holds for the time specified and then is immediately replaced with the next image.

3. An optional timer can be displayed in the upper right corner of the gallery that gives a visual representation of the time left until the next image transition.

4. The time that each image is displayed, not including the transition time set in #5. This is the time that is displayed by the optional timer in #3.

5. The duration of the transition effect from one image to the next.
